TAMPA – A police officer was forced to shoot an armed robbery suspect Sunday morning Tampa.

Around, 1am two women were walking inside the Tampa Park Apartments when a masked male approached them. The man had a firearm and attempted to rob them. One of the women got away and was able to call 911.

When the officer arrived, the suspect fired at the the patrol car. The officer continued to follow the suspect when he fired on the patrol car again. The officer then exited the cruiser and chased the suspect on foot.
